Factory reset can be initiated even if no displayable picture

Ok first of all - ALL user settings will be reset to factory settings
so be absolutely sure you want/need to do this before proceeding

Press Open/close so that tray is open.

Now on front panel of machine there are 4 buttons grouped around a centre play button.

Press

Bottom left

Top Right

Bottom left

Top Right

etc.

etc.

Keep this sequence going varying the speed as you go

Eventaully the player displays 'FACTORY RESET' on the TV screen
(If you can see it)

and the unit powers off.

That's it power unit back on and it will have reset to all the pre-defined settings.

If you are in the UK you will need to set Video Output back to PAL
otherwise you'll get a black and white picture only
