Please note if you get a black screen after Firmware update

This is probably due to the fact that the firmware has something other than composite video selected.

To check remove any disks from the player

close drawer and ensure player is on

the following procedure you will do blind i.e. you won't see any visible interaction on screen

Press Setup

Press down button once

Press right button once

Press down button once

Press down button again

Press Enter

Press Up button

Press Enter

Press Setup

If that hasn't given you a picture repeat from the top up to three times or until you see a picture.
